Examples of Puracoat® application include on the go food packaging, frozen food, bakery, confectionery and other direct food contact packaging.
Yes, Puracoat® is usually applied to a certified food cartonboard which is organically biodegradable. Puracoat® is a water based aqueous coating which, when applied to the cartonboard, is also biodegradable, linking to BS EN 13432 regulations.
Yes, Puracoat® has been tested in ovens up to 220 degrees C for up to 30 mins. It must be used in coordination with a suitable oven board material. Puracoat® also works in domestic freezer conditions. However, if the packaging is exposed to rapid changes in temperature, excessive moisture may penetrate ink/coatings.
Yes, it can be microwaved from frozen, chilled and ambient status. It is important to ensure that the correct board material and inks are used in coordination.
