It’s not so much "what can The Sherwood Group do".... but what would you like us to do?

The strength of our family-run business is in the pure breadth of what we offer. Our most successful customer relationships are the ones that utilise the full range of services The Sherwood Group can provide market-leading print and innovation, underpinned by excellent customer service.

We offer three manufacturing facilities across the UK and China, employing over 300 members of staff on two continents. A diverse family of well-known brands.

The Sherwood Group’s story begins in 1976, when Maurice and Barbara Bacon founded The Sherwood Press.

Located next to the Royal Oak Public House in Beeston, Nottingham, the business was started on June 1st, with capital investment of £10,000.

The first and main areas of business included print of catalogues, annual reports, educational material, calendars, leaflets and posters. As time passed by, the business continued to grow and needed more space, resulting in relocation to current premises at Hadden Court, Glaisdale Parkway in Nottingham in 1985.

In 1992, The Sherwood Group entered the greetings card market and proudly printed Christmas cards for the Royal Household, charity sector and many publishers. By 1997, the Group produced up to a million cards a day and secured numerous awards in printing and greeting cards industries.

In 2009 the Group entered packaging market and has successfully grown the packaging side of the business with the achievement of BRC certification and securing its first packaging award with The Starpacks Awards in 2010.
