Harrods approached KMD Company to design and produce a piece of packaging to house a limited-edition teddy bear from their iconic store. The packaging was required to create interest and communicate the luxury and uniqueness of the product in store, while still showing the heritage of the brand and protecting the product after the purchase.

Our Approach

The KMD team delivered the full service, from constructional design and high-quality prototype samples, to print and finishing.

  • A high-quality prototype of the pack, printed digitally with simulated foil block finishes, enabled the customer to ensure the packaging was fit for the intended purpose prior to full production and also to visualise how appealing it would look on the retail shelf.
  • Print and finishing process (all in-house)
  • Special attention was required to all finishing aspects, particularly the foiling, to achieve an antique brass effect and a high-quality finish of the company logo, helping to maintain the premium look of the product.

The design, finish and correct choice of material were key for this project to create interest and differentiation in Harrods store.
